Product Description
TMT barsor Thermo-Mechanically Treated bars are high-strength reinforcement bars having a tough outer core and a soft inner core. The very first step of the manufacturing process involves passing the steel wires through a rolling mill stand. Thereafter, these rolled steel wires are again passed through the Tempcore water cooling system. While passing the wires through the water cooling system, the water pressure is optimised. The sudden quenching and drastic change in temperature toughen the outer layer of the steel bar, thus making it super tough and durable. Once this process is over, the TMT bars are subject to atmospheric cooling. This is done in order to equalise the temperature difference between the soft inner core and the tough exterior. Once the TMT bar cools down, it slowly turns into a ferrite-pearlite mass. The inner core remains soft giving the TMT bar great tensile strength and elongation point. This design is unique to the TMT bars and gives superior ductility to the bars. Also, this unique manufacturing technique and the absence of Cold stress make this bar corrosion-resistant and boost its weldability.Superior Strength for Construction NeedsMs TMT Bar, crafted using advanced MS steel alloys and available in grades 500 and 500D, delivers high tensile strength critical for supporting structural frameworks in buildings and infrastructure. FAQs of Ms TMT Bar:
Q: How are Ms TMT Bars used in construction projects?
A: Ms TMT Bars serve as core reinforcement elements in concrete structures such as buildings, bridges, and foundations. Their robust design enhances the load-bearing capacity, making them essential for both residential and commercial construction throughout India.
Q: What surface treatment is applied to Ms TMT Bars and why is it beneficial?
A: These bars receive a specialized coating that boosts their resistance to corrosion and environmental wear. This treatment prolongs the lifespan of structures and ensures consistent performance in humid or challenging conditions.
Q: When should I choose Grade 500 or 500D Ms TMT Bars?
A: Grade 500 and 500D offer high strength, with Grade 500D providing improved ductility. Use 500D for structures requiring better flexibility and seismic resistance, while Grade 500 is ideal for general heavy-load applications.
Q: Where can I find trusted suppliers or dealers of Ms TMT Bars in India?
A: Ms TMT Bars are widely available through established dealers, manufacturers, fabricators, wholesalers, and suppliers across India. Most construction material distributors will carry various grades and sizes to meet your projects specific requirements.
Q: What is the process for acquiring Ms TMT Bars for a large-scale project?
A: For bulk procurement, first assess your material specifications, then contact reliable manufacturers, suppliers, or traders. They will guide you through order placement, delivery timelines, and technical support, ensuring you choose bars of suitable grade and dimensions.
Q: Which thickness of Ms TMT Bar should be used for different structural elements?
A: Select the bar thickness based on the structural load and design requirements. For lighter frameworks, 8mm to 12mm may suffice, while columns and beams often require thicker options, ranging from 16mm up to 40mm, to ensure stability and safety.
